“I have a vision of -5.35 on the right and -5.75 on the left. When you take off your glasses and look at things, they lose their boundaries. Shapes that are smudged and blurred and that seem to have a high feather value are scenes that I have never thought were correct. The boundaries of the forms are scattered, leaving behind vague shapes that seem to exist in the fog. Even familiar landscapes feel unfamiliar. Everything swells, and the gaze of the people staring at it and the texture of their faces disappear. My microcosm emerges from the exploded fragments in the fog. The people in it are round and greasy. And it's calm. When you frown your forehead and eyebrows to look closely, the shapes tend to cohere and become smaller again. If you look without frowning, everything expands. If I accept the limitation of not being able to see well, my microcosm becomes clearer. In it, I am liberated.” - Author’s Note
