‘Schema’ is an artwork that refers to memories distorted and exaggerated; extinct and reconstructed, using wooden blocks.
Each block, wrapped up in a photograph, represents a piece of memory that remain in the unconscious. The images on the blocks can be emphasized by the sides and edges of the blocks themselves; it is similar to the way people remember things subjectively.
Memory is prone to distortions and modifications in a specific frame made by each experience and temperaments. Like so, these blocks can be easily separated, or stacked vertically and horizontally. There could be a single block or many of them on top of each other. This work focuses on representing memories that are modified in many different forms.
