The ‘CITY SKIN’ project focuses on reinterpretation of the 'most common things' found in our build environment, Modern City. Architecture is surrounding all of us, especially building exteriors,
which can be called the smallest cell of our environment. This basic unit that can grasp essence of the ‘CITY SKIN’.
Things that are ordinary and familiar have always surrounded us, Through the objectification process of our pre-existing ideas, we rediscover those familiar and ordinary objects again. Perhaps they do represent our identity.

JaSeo.studio focus on how our society treat objects. We believe, role of the designer extends beyond problem solver into a term “creator of significance”, only object caring significance to its user can overcome limitations of our society.


It presents a new discourse on how humans in modern civilization treat things. In other words, it is a way to grasp the relationship between things and humans and to examine the possibilities of this relationship. This process extends from the 'problem solver' of the physical domain to the 'semantic producer' of the social domain, where the designer solves a given task. When placing design in the social realm, we will be able to discover new possibilities of design, and we will be able to set standards that can overcome the limitations of modern society.
