Hoop Chair was designed under the concept of "Korean Art Deco," which was born from a fascination with two existing artistic styles: Art Deco and traditional Korean art.

Subin Seol interprets it in her own design language by combining Art Deco style, which features concentric circles, repetition of simple shapes, symmetry, and geometric patterns, with traditional Korean Art, which tends to avoid all design extremities.

디자이너 설수빈은 동심원, 기본형태의 반복, 대칭, 그리고 기하학적인 패턴을 특징으로 하는 Art Deco 스타일에 간결함과 재료 고유의 특징을 중시하는 Korean Art를 접목시켜 자신만의 디자인 언어인 "Korean Art Deco"로 해석한다. 이 작품은 디자인의 문화적 가치에 대한 탐구의 결과로, 두가지 예술문화의 융합을 통해 공존할 수 없는 서로 다른 시대 사이의 대화를 이끌어낸다.
