사진작가 김영철의 사진집 FEELING BEFORE SEEING 에 수록된 작품으로 만든 마스킹 테이프다.

FEELING BEFORE SEEING 은 사진작가 김영철이 9년간 작업한 여러 프로젝트 가운데 일부 사진을 선별해 담은 사진집이다.
작가는 의도적으로 장소와 시간, 사진의 이름을 표기하지 않았다. 보는 사람들이 자신만의 관점을 이미지에 투영해 해석하도록 의도하였다. 작가는 이것 또한 작업의 연장선으로 본다. 그는 타인의 감상이 개인의 경험으로 제작된 이미지에 쌓여 작품의 생명력이 더해진다고 말한다.

FEELING BEFORE SEEING is a selection of images during a 9-year period featuring photos from various projects. Young Chul Kim, in accordance with his exhibition, prepared each image by intentionally removing its title and location, seeking to give the reader and viewer an opportunity to interpret the image as they wish. He views this approach as an extension of his work. The appreciation and interpretation of the viewers adds and builds up the images and adds vitality to the work, making it a constantly evolving piece.
