‘Grocery’ is a conceptual visualization of the personal tastes that have been consumed over the space of four years in a foreign country.
In the receipt from the supermarket, we can see when, where, what, and how much we spend. By photographing a large amount of collected receipts with a scanner rather than a camera, the purchased history printed on a paper was converted into a data image and then it was searched and categorized by item, like we do when googling. In the categorized data image, we can see personal consumption patterns and preferences that have changed during a specific period, through which various interpretations and imaginations are possible.
Images of supermarket items in this book were listed by collecting images of industrial products searched on the Internet.
